We assist trustees in the administration of all types of trusts, including allocations, accounts, and distributions.
While having a Trust may avoid probate, there are still administrative tasks that must be completed upon the incapacity or death of a settlor (“trustor”). Our experienced attorneys know the ins and outs of trust administration and regularly assist our clients in performing these administrative tasks.
Our services include giving the required notifications to trust beneficiaries and heirs of the settlor; dividing the Trust into sub-trusts and allocating assets when appropriate; preparing trust accounts in compliance with the Trust and California law; and assisting trustees in making distributions to beneficiaries and preparing receipts and releases.
We also represent beneficiaries and creditors with respect to their interests in or claims against the Trust.
